• UM static cockup splint has a malleable aluminium bar that allows the splint to be adjusted and positioned to fit the needs of each patient.
• Aids in reducing the risk of abnormalities caused by spasms, contractions, and claw hands.
• Indicated for spastic paralysis and for protecting the palm, hand, and wrist from inhibitory reflexes.
• UM static cockup splint is used to immobilise the hand and is typically applied following a fracture or injury.
• The splint should be applied around the thumb and fingers, with the wrist in an extended position.
Direction of use:
• Place the splint on the hand, thumb-to-forearm areas.
• Adjust all straps from the thumb and forearm.
• Make sure the splint is snugly fitted to the hand and wrist.
